Case Study 

A Mexican architect and real estate broker (“Broker”) needed an English translator in a hurry when trying to close a sale in Mexico to a US buyer (“Buyer”). Broker had produced a written contract that had been (loosely) translated from Spanish to English using Google Translate. 

Buyer saw the English version of the proposed contract and was (rightfully) confused by the wording of an important provision. Buyer refused to finalize the deal until the language was clarified. Broker didn’t have the English language skills to understand Buyer’s concerns, so the deal stalled and Broker called us.  

Having worked with Broker before, our translators were quickly available to review both language versions of the contract, discuss the context of the deal (in Spanish), provide suggested translations, finalize a new document, and then join in the follow-up video call with Buyer that very same day.  

After clarifying the problem language of the contract, both parties finalized the deal and walked away happy.
